The Doping of Ce Improves the Performance of V‐Based Catalysts for Denitration and Chlorobenzene Decomposition

View through CrossRef
ABSTRACTPromoting the collaborative treatment of nitrogen oxides (NOx) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) has become an important research direction for multi‐pollutant control (MPC). NOx and chlorobenzene (CB) were selected as substitutes to study the related properties of supported vanadium‐titanium (V‐Ti)‐based catalysts, and high‐efficiency composite multi‐metal oxide catalysts were screened out. The results indicated that the addition of Ce, Mn, and Fe elements could improve the denitration and catalytic oxidation activity of CB. V(3)Ce(5)/Ti had better catalytic activity due to the formation of more oxygen vacancy structure. Denitration and chlorobenzene removal can reach more than 95%. The catalytic oxidation efficiency of chlorobenzene at 280 °C was investigated under different working conditions. The conversion frequency (TOF) of CB on the catalyst surface was as follows: CBCO+NO2>CBCO>CBCO+NO>CBCO+NH3. The results of water and sulfur resistance of V(3)Ce(5)/Ti catalyst indicated that steam inhibited the denitration performance of the catalyst, but promoted the removal of CB, and the reaction was reversible. Sulfur dioxide (SO2) significantly inhibited the synergistic reaction of the catalyst and caused irreversible reaction.
