According to Gerald Janacek, although the figures are painted in a cubist manner, the combination of image and letters is reminiscent of lumbki, i.e. folk traditional images that were reproduced in woodcuts. It is worth noting that the cover of the book is a collage depicting a red paper heart with a white button stuck to it. Productivism.
