Jack of Diamonds. 1916. Linocut on paper. 20.5 x 21. Jack of Diamonds, a Rozanova linoleum intended for the collection of superlative poetry Superlative book (Zaumnaya Gniga) in poetry by A. Krutsonich and Alliagrof (pseud. of Roman Jacobson), Moscow 1915, 22 pp., about 150 copies. Rosanova linoleums depict playing cards. According to Gerald Janacek, although the figures are painted in a cubist manner, the combination of image and letters is reminiscent of lumbki, i.e. folk traditional images that were reproduced in woodcuts. It is worth noting that the cover of the book is a collage depicting a red paper heart with a white button stuck to it. Productivism.
