Portrait of 6th Lord Byron, whole-length in a mountainous landscape disembarking from a dinghy and accompanied by his page Robert Rushton. Ascribed to George Sanders as reduced variant (sketch or modello?) on his large finished portrait in Royal Collection. However, some details (eg Byron's waistcoat) appear to relate it to William Finden's engraving of this subject (see NA 248). (91x75cm)
