Ekonomická a bezpečnostná logika posilňovania domáceho obranného priemyslu

The article analyses the key economic and security determinants shaping the current state and future development of the Slovak defence industry within the transformed European security environment after 2022. It evaluates structural characteristics of the sector, domestic market functions, systemic risks and cross-country comparisons within the V4 and selected EU states. Based on these findings, the paper outlines possible development scenarios up to 2035. The article also aims to provide an informed analytical basis for initiating a broader expert and policy discussion on the necessity of adopting coherent state decisions to strengthen the national defence industrial base as a vital component of Slovakia’s security and economic resilience.
