Reattachment of Fractured Fragment of Maxillary Central Incisor
View through CrossRef
Abstract
One of the most commonly faced situations in clinical practice is dental trauma. Children and adolescents frequently report with uncomplicated/complicated crown fracture that requires immediate consideration. Clinicians should be efficient in treating such injuries and must be aware of the various treatment options available. Reattachment of tooth fragments should be the first choice and is a viable alternative to conventional approaches because of simpleness, natural aesthetics and less chairside time. Patient cooperation and understanding of the limitations of the treatment are of utmost importance for good prognosis. With recent developments in restorative materials, placement techniques, preparation designs and an adhesive protocol, the process of fragment reattachment has become conservative and more reliable. This article presents a case report describing the management of a complicated fracture of maxillary anterior teeth treated endodontically, followed by reattachment of the same fragment.
