Réception de Pierre Renouvin et de Jean-Baptiste Duroselle en Grèce : entre acculturation disciplinaire et conflits publics

Le texte analyse la place de la Grèce dans l’œuvre de Renouvin et Duroselle (forces profondes, religion, Venizélos, 1821, guerres balkaniques) et montre comment Duroselle revient largement sur le cas grec dans des ouvrages ultérieurs. Il examine ensuite l’influence limitée de l’ « école française » des relations internationales en Grèce, freinée par une historiographie stato-centrée et un schème national de continuité (Antiquité – Byzance – Nouvel Hellénisme). Enfin, il retrace l’ « affaire Duroselle » (1990), polémique grecque contre L’Europe. Histoire de ses peuples, révélatrice de tensions mémorielles et d’un débat public émotionnel peu relayé par l’académie.
