[3+2] Cycloaddition of 3‐Diazooxindole with Arynes for the Synthesis of Spiro[indazole‐3,3′‐indolin]‐2′‐ones

AbstractAn intermolecular cycloaddition between 3‐diazooxindoles and arynes generated in situ from 2‐(trimethylsilyl)phenyltrifluoromethanesulfonate in the presence of 2.5 mol% cesium fluoride has been achieved to produce a novel series of spiro[indazole‐3,3′‐indolin]‐2′‐one derivatives in good yields under mild experimental conditions. It is an elegant strategy for the quick construction of a highly rigid spirocyclic compounds in a single step.
