The author Gayane Mnatsakan Harutyunyan studied in the class of Natalya Popova-Sarajeva, then she did her post-graduate studies under Kira Sarajeva at the Gnesin Russian Music Academy in Moscow and presents her memoirs in her article "Three Generations of the Sarajeva Harpists". The author focuses not only on their performing art, but also on their pedagogical activities, teaching and methodology. The author shares her memoirs and appreciates their role in Armenian art and culture. She mentions the world-famous Armenian composer Aram Khachatryan s approach to harp art, who, among his symphony used harp, ballet and solo works. As an example she mention A. Khachatryan's symphonic poem "Ode to Joy", which holds a significant place in Khachatryan's musical legacy. This piece was composed for an ensemble of violinists, a choir, a symphony orchestra, soloists and 12 harps.
