Effect of Different Biofertilizers and Organic Manures on Growth, Yield and Quality of Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L) cv. Arka Vikas

The experiment was laid out in a randomized complete block design with three replications. There were eight treatments (T0- control, T1 – vermicompost (100%), T2 – FYM (100%), T3 – Poultry manure (100%) T4 – vermicompost (100%) + PSB + Azotobacter, T5 – FYM (100%) + PSB + Azotobacter, T6 – Poultry manure (100%) + PSB + Azotobacter, T7 – VC + FYM + PM (1/3: 1/3: 1/3) + PSB + Azotobacter. The treatment T7 having VC + FYM + PM (1/3: 1/3: 1/3) + PSB + Azotobacter resulted maximum plant height (118.8 cm), branches (4.67/plant and flower clusters (18.53/plant). The T7 having VC + FYM + PM (1/3: 1/3: 1/3) + PSB + Azotobacter resulted in maximum number of fruits per cluster (4.23), number of fruits per plant (28.93), fruit length (58.83 mm), fruit diameter (61.10 mm), average fruit weight (71.87 g), yield per plant (3.05 kg), total yield (425 q/ha) and net income (Rs. 191838/ha) with 3.03 B:C ratio. In case of quality parameters, the treatment T7 having VC + FYM + PM (1/3: 1/3: 1/3) + PSB + Azotobacter recorded maximum total soluble solids (5.07 0 Brix), dry matter content (10.80%) and pulp content (37.27%).
