RESOURCE CAVING IN LIVESTOCK: INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES OF CATTLE FEEDING EFFICIENCY IMPROVING
View through CrossRef
The introduction of resourcesaving technologies in the agricultural production’s intensification context is a strategically important area contribute to agricultural output increasing. As part of Belarus Republic livestock development industry for current five year period, it is planned total milk production up to 12 million tons and cattle rising production up to 970 thousand tons achieving. However, the total milk and beef production are impossible without livestock with a sufficient amount of feed providing, that is occupied a key place in the cost structure, averaging 50-70% of total costs. The availability of feed, its quality, the competent organization of the feeding process and their rational use are the main factors determining the efficiency of milk and beef production. The achieved results in the livestock industry are a consequence of herd with the main types of feed: hay, hayloft, silage and concentrated feed providing. At the same time, in many farms there is a low quality of feed produced at high energy consumption, that leads to an feed unit cost and, consequently, livestock products cost increasing. In order a number of processes on farms and cattle complexes mechanizing, as well as labor costs reducing, «Belarus NAN NPC on agricultural mechanization» has developed a machines’ complex for the cattle feed table servicing, which is designed feed moving and feed mixtures to the feed table while mixing and loosening. Cattle feed table maintenance machines providing feed pushing from the aisle to the feed table, of feed and feed mixtures loosening in order secondary fermentation of feed avoiding, and also have a number of interchangeable adapters for various operations for dairy farms and complexes serve performing.
