Quaternion MIMO millimeter wave antenna for 5G applications

Abstract In order to reduce the influence of signal attenuation caused by multipath effect in the transmission process of millimeter wave, this paper designs an array MIMO antenna working at 28GHz, the size of the antenna is 26×26×0.254mm3, the central frequency of the antenna is 28GHz, the operating bandwidth is 24 ~ 32GHz, which completely covers the 5G spectrum range of 24.25 ~ 27.5GHz as stipulated by China. The isolation degree between each unit antenna unit port is lower than − 25dB, and the gain of antenna at 28GHz is 7.5dB, which can ensure the normal operation of antenna.
