Euroscepticism or European integration in the discourse of the “Opoka w Kraju” magazine

View through CrossRef
The issue of European integration is one of the key sections of Opoka w Kraju magazine. The aim of this article is to determine the ideological and programmatic bases of national movements regarding European integration, whose positions are presented in the Opoka w Kraju magazine by Professor Maciej Giertych. For a layman, the first thought about this magazine brings to mind its clearly Eurosceptic discourse. This results from the involvement of Maciej Giertych and national circles in political projects aimed at stopping the process of European integration. However, this Eurosceptic trend also has European accents, e.g. failure to accept Brexit . In this aspect, it will be important to extract from Opoka w Kraju journalism not only its open Euroscepticism, but also to show the crypto-Euroenthusiasm of this magazine.
