Men’s Kimono, Lining

View through Europeana Collections
This short men’s kimono, a haori, has a scene from a baseball game on the lining. It may be the annual competition between Waseda and Keio Universities. The perspective is that of the viewer. Given that only the Keio team is clearly illustrated, this haori may very well have belonged to a Keio supporter. The image was not visible when the kimono was worn.
