CHRISTIAN GREY: PELOS OLHOS DA PSICOLOGIA

Theme: This article aims to present a little of the story of Christian Grey, the narrative visualized in the literary trilogy: Fifty Shades of Grey, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed, by the author Erika Leonard James, analyzed from the perspective of psychology, and the formation of personality from a trauma experienced in childhood. Objectives: To expand knowledge about the importance of maintaining a healthy environment for child development and the formation of a structured personality; To identify factors that can influence dysfunctional personality traits and understand how childhood traumas can shape an individual's behaviors and interpersonal relationships in adult life. Methodology: Documentary research, through psychological literature and investigation in the trilogy of texts by E.L. James, with a comparison of this fictional source and personality theories, together with the biases of psychology, found in books and scientific articles. Results: Christian's life and all his traumas highlight the importance of a good family structure in the life of a child/adolescent, also seeking to highlight how much traumas, especially in the initial stages of development, can impact human relationships, affecting behavior, thinking and the relationship of self-identity, which are directly linked to personality pattern factors, and can cause biopsychosocial damage. Conclusion: The aim of this study is to focus attention on healthy intra-family relationships, to identify early the possibility of traumas throughout life, and to seek effective psychological intervention for positive personal development. In this way, there was the identification of behavioral patterns in the face of traumatic experiences and how this directly influences the personality characteristics of individuals with traumatic experiences and social stressors, leading to difficulties in emotional regulation and dysfunction in interpersonal relationships, leading to a possible borderline personality disorder linked to post-traumatic stress disorder.
