Product Development Supported by MFF Application

The paper presents MFF (Matrix of Function and Functionality) application (beta version) that is designed for a wide range of engineers to help in the development of new products or their parts. The basic idea for the application was to create a knowledge base in a specific area that contains the knowledge of engineers acquired during their working life and during product development at one place. The knowledge base is formed automatically by inputting the individual characteristics of the product. By means of this characteristic it is possible to generate MFF. After the calculation of the matrix, the user can make modifications so as to reach the final solution of the concrete problem.
