Rückenwind für die kommunale Landschaftsplanung durch das Projekt „Landschaftsplanung in Bayern – kommunal und innovativ“

The project "Landscape planning in Bavaria – municipal and innovative" as a booster for municipal landscape planning // The Bavarian landscape is subject to constant change and is currently facing immense challenges. It is the task of landscape planning to shape this process at municipal level in a forward-looking manner for the present and future generations. Nevertheless, this planning instrument falls short of its potential in practice because it is insufficiently recognised and little used. The "Landscape planning in Bavaria - municipal and innovative" project therefore aims to further develop municipal landscape planning in Bavaria with innovative concepts. At the transition to the final phase of the project, it is becoming apparent that the landscape plan benefits from being linked to a focal topic in the municipality and from customised, early participation. This requires consistent and target-group-orientated information, training and public relations work as well as competence building in the municipalities.
