Stratonike, wife of Eumenes II

Abstract The Cappadocian princess Stratonike became queen of Pergamon in 188 bce through her marriage to king Eumenes II. After her husband was presumed dead, she married his brother Attalos II. When Eumenes II returned, he was granted again his wife and throne. At Eumenes’ death she re‐married Attalos II. She survived Attalos II, and died during the reign of Attalos III. She was honored with statues in Delos and Pergamon.
