Changes in protein composition of bovine spermatozoa during epididymal maturation
View through CrossRef
Electrophoretic evidence is presented that the protein composition of bovine spermatozoa may change during epididymal maturation. Ejaculated spermatozoa appear to acquire two new protein species, Mr 71 000 and Mr 36 000, which were absent in epididymal spermatozoa. In contrast, a protein band of Mr 50 000 which was present both in caput and cauda epididymal spermatozoa was not found in ejaculated spermatozoa.
