Scientific conference The Fate of Poles after September 17, 1939 in the eastern provinces of the Second Polish Republic, Częstochowa February 8, 2020

On February 8, 2020, a scientific conference was held in Częstochowa, organized jointly by the For Countryman Foundation and the Institute of Remembrance and Borderland Heritage based in Lublin. The meeting was preceded by a collection of charitable gifts for the Polish diaspora from the east. The patronage over the conference and the action was taken by a World War II veteran, Lt. Col. Antoni Łapiński and a Member of the Polish Parliament, Grzegorz Braun. The main theme concerned the broadly understood history of the Eastern Borderlands of the Second Polish Republic. The deliberations took place in Częstochowa, and six researchers representing various research centers took part in them. Extended versions of the papers with additional texts were published a few months later.
