God image. Temple figure (arca lingga or pratima) of cut and painted wood. The sculpture depicts a standing male figure with a high headdress. There are traces of gilding as well as red and white paint.
According to the Catalogue General, the sculpture is of nangka wood and imagines Wisnu. According to the same source, the sculpture comes from Grobokan.
Nangka wood is wood from the jack tree or Indian bread fruit tree.

Arca lingga, or pratima, serves as a temporary home for the gods (palinggihan) during the feast of the temple. Faced with the feast of the temple, the figures are plucked out of a godlike (gedong), dressed, decorated with flowers and perfumed. The figures are ritually animated, purified annually by procession to the sea or a sacred source.
