The present investigation entitled “Comparative studies on budding methods and timings for bud success and growth in Bael (Aegle marmelos L.) cv. Narendra Bael-5” was carried out at the Experimental Unit, Department of Horticulture, Tilak Dhari Post GraduateCollege, Jaunpur, to standardized the propagation methods and suitable time in Bael (Aegle marmelos L.) during 2022, using three different methods (Patch budding, modified ring budding, and I-budding) and six (June 7, 21; July 7, 21 and August 7, 21) budding dates. After 120 days of each budding method, it was found that patch budding made on June 21 produced the highest percentage (83.96%) of bud take among all techniques used. All budding methods made on June 21 performed well. However, patch budding gave best result among methods used in study. Minimum days taken to bud sprout (15.22), maximum number of new shoots per plant (2.64), shoot diameter (6.57 mm), number of primary (3.78) and secondary (28.67) roots were also noted in patch budding made on June 21.
