An Elemental Collection of Art Talents from Guizhou: Wang Jian Shan

This viewing room displays a rotating selection of coloured woodcut prints and more by Wang Jian Shan, a representative figure of contemporary Chinese woodcut prints. Critics have commented that his prints synthesise international artistic influences with cultural elements of his native Guizhou, and unify seemingly disparate artistic mediums of oil painting, Chinese painting, and fresco. The exhibition is made possible by prior research by Guizhou University and guidance of the artist.
