Un dia, la meva parella estava fullejant una revista i em va assenyalar les semblances que percebia entre les imatges de diferents anuncis de rellotges. Al cap d’una estona, intrigats, vam agafar un munt de revistes velles que guardàvem en caixes i vam començar a arrencar totes les pàgines que trobàvem amb imatges publicitàries de rellotges. Havíem descobert alguna cosa. Alguna cosa que no enteníem s’estava manifestant en aquelles imatges. L’endemà al matí, vaig trucar a un amic fotògraf que es dedica a la publicitat, i em va explicar que el que havíem descobert era una de les primeres nocions que li havien ensenyat a la facultat, una directriu de composició per fotografiar rellotges.
