A pseudo-multichannel matching filter application to time-lapse seismic matching processing

View through CrossRef
Matching filter processing is very important step in time-lapse seismic matching processing, using a least-squares minimization optimized method to get optimal filter to remove wavelet dynamical and kinematical differences in marker bed (non-reservoir and closing to reservoir) between base data and monitor data, and applying the matching filter operator to reservoir data and making the reservoir data difference depict the reservoir exploitation variation as far as possible. In present time-lapse seismic wavelet coherence matching processing which is realized often through using single channel matching filter, in this paper pseudo-multichannel matching filter is introduced and applied to time-lapse seismic wavelet difference correction. The method of pseudo-multichannel matching filter is to revise amplitude and phase of seismic wavelet by math transforms of trace monitor data and to enhance the consistency with base monitor data. The method of pseudo-multichannel matching filter better than single channel matching filter is proved through testing both synthetic and practical time-lapse seismic data.
