INCLUSIVITY IN THE TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY OF UKRAINE: CURRENT STATE AND DEVELOPMENT PROSPECTS
View through CrossRef
The purpose of the study is to analyze the current state and prospects for the development of inclusive tourism in Ukraine. The research methods are the dialectical method of scientific knowledge, systematization, generalization and decomposition, analysis (for assessing modern inclusive tourism and hospitality in Ukraine and the EU), abstract-logical method (for formulating generalizations and conclusions), graphic and tabular methods (for visualizing research results).
The full-scale war and the associated significant increase in the number of people with disabilities make the development of inclusive tourism and hospitality in Ukraine a key element of the post-war transformation and strategic development. The current state of development of inclusive tourism and hospitality in Ukraine is analyzed.
It has been established that the development of inclusive tourism and hospitality in Ukraine faces a number of systemic problems. Along with this, positive developments and initiatives are observed, indicating the potential for the development of inclusive tourism and hospitality.
The experience of EU countries is studied, where the systematic implementation of international and national standards and incentive mechanisms contribute to the creation of standardized and accessible infrastructure.
For the successful development of inclusive tourism and hospitality in Ukraine, an integrated model for the development of inclusive tourism and hospitality in Ukraine is proposed, which includes eight key areas: legal and regulatory support, intersectoral cooperation and stakeholder involvement, formation of an inclusive tourism product, human capital development and educational programs, implementation of digital innovation technologies for accessibility, creation of specialized tourism offers, marketing, promotion and formation of a positive image, regional pilot projects and scaling up of successful practices.
The proposed model is based on the generalization of the best practices of the European Union, which allows adapting successful international strategies to Ukrainian realities, taking into account the specifics of Ukraine's post-war reconstruction, emphasis on cross-sectoral collaboration and stakeholder engagement, including direct users, which is critical to creating truly effective and relevant solutions
