Latitudinal system of Ob-River Boulevards: experience and prospects for developing urban planning interaction between the downtown Barnaul and the River Ob
View through CrossRef
The article reviews design solutions for development of the embankment systems along the large Ob River in Barnaul, Altai Krai, published over the past century. The article shows the sustainability of the Ob Boulevard concept in the city’s history of urban planning as desired development of latitudinal communication between the downtown area with the high bank of the Ob River in the direction from the southwest to the east.
We propose to upgrade the concept of densification of Downtown Barnaul by constructing a Latitudinal system of Ob-River Boulevards – several streets of planning priority for rapid development of the vast, socially significant left bank of the Ob River in Barnaul.
