Antimycobacterial Activity of Hexapeptide Related to Apidaecin IA
View through CrossRef
Background: Apidaecin IA is an animal peptide obtained from honey bee having 18 amino acid presents in the sequence of the peptide. Objective: To design, synthesis, characterization, evaluation of antimycobacterial peptide related to apidaecin IA. Methods; Synthesis by combinatorial chemistry using FMOC chemistry protocol, characterized by mass spectroscopy and sequence analysis using LC-MS-MS and evaluated antifungal, antimicrobial activity by zone of inhibition and minimum inhibitory concentration and antimycobacterial activity by Luciferase Reporter Phage (LRP) assay.
