“Ivar Arosenius, Ole Kruse, Gerhard Henning.” Memory images decommissioned by five people; printed in Gothenburg in 1956. About Ole Kruse, Sven Sandström and Asta Linden-Buchman have written.
Comments on the pictures on s. 158. A number of details distinguish the picture from Kruse’s paintings at Bohusläns museum. E.g. no language band with “Ora et labora” around the pillar on which Noak is holding hands. There is now a skull in the middle below Noak. Made fir like trees behind the man.
On the right hand side, the spruce to the right of Moses' head is exchanged for a cross-like shape with a winding snake.
The pictures both in the book and in the paintings have dark celestial swallows compared to the coloured photo owned by Masthuggs parish, Gothenburg.
In the same book under Biographical Data, s. 164, one can read:
In 1918 the triptych “Christ in the Eagle Farm” was exhibited in Gothenburg’s Museum with the golden city in the background. The work was intended as an altar board for Masthuggskyrkan. On 9 May, the triptych was set up in the church, but was taken back in October by the artist, alone the murky lighting in the church did not do the work in full justice. In January 1921 it was exhibited in the Nordic Bookstore in Stockholm together with a collection of older Dutch and Italian art.
In the final part of the work, this writing can be found in List of pictures with the original owner/Ole Kruse:
Christ in the Eagle Farm with the Golden City. Altar board, triptych. Tempera and oil painting. 1921. The side boards 125 x 58 cm, the middle board 125 x 140 cm. Belonging to Mrs Agnes Kruse, Bokenäs. [Page 158.]
