View through CrossRef
This paper presents research results on family Lauraceae in Pu Huong Nature Reserve, Nghe An Province. Total 73 species belonging to 13 genera were identified. There were 6 genera and 15 species found as new records for the plant list of Pu Huong published in 2015. Cinnamomum was the richest genus (19 species), then followed by Litsea (17 species), Neolitsea (7 species), and other genera (1 to 6 species). In family Lauraceae of Pu Huong Nature Reserve there were 4 threatened species listed in the Red Data Book of Viet Nam (2007): Cinnamomum parthenoxylon, Cinnamomum balansae, Phoebe macrocarpa and Cinnamomum cambodianum. The useful species of the Lauraceae family is categorized as: 48 timber species, 38 essential oil species, 28 medicinal species, 16 fatty oil and 1 ornamental species. The spectrum of biology of the Lauraceae family in Pu Huong Nature Reserve is summarized as follows: Ph% = 13.70%Mg + 45.20%Me + 38.36%Mi + 1.37%Na + 1.37%Lp. The Lauraceae family in Pu Huong Nature Reserve mainly comprised of the tropical element (39.74%), endemic element (57.52%), temperate element (2.74%).
