Kafka Ósmego Dnia

The author presents the circumstances surrounding the work of Teatr Ósmego Dnia [Theater of the Eighth Day] on a play entitled Kafka: [the text breaks]. They are analyzed in the context of the earlier history of the Poznań group and the history of the so-called alternative theater in general, in relation to the current activities of the group, its present situation, and its artistic search, and finally, against the contemporary Polish reception of Franz Kafka’s work.
