Zusammenfassung
Eine Narbenbildung kann im Verlauf der Heilung mitunter zu unerwünschten optischen wie auch funktionellen Ergebnissen führen. Eine Verbesserung dieser Narben kann einerseits konservativ angestrebt werden, andererseits kann je nach Narbenart ein weiterer operativer Korrektureingriff zu erhoffter Optimierung führen. Wichtig vor jedweder Art der Behandlung ist allerdings eine realistische Zielsetzung, welche Art von Verbesserung möglich ist, da eine Narbe nicht komplett beseitigt werden kann. Eine gemeinsame Therapiezielsetzung von Patient:innen und Chirurg:innen ist daher unabdingbar.
