Copy in plaster bought 1904 made on an antique, Roman copy of now a lost Greek, Hellenistic statue from around 241-197 BCE. The Greek original may have been placed at the Pergamon Altar. The right arm was restored by Renaissance artist Michelangelo Bounarotti.
