Anglo-Saxon objects from Ash, Kent

The drawing shows a number of Anglo-Saxon objects recovered from the sandpit at Ash (Gilton), Kent, by Edward Jacobs in 1762. A pottery bottle, three glass vessels, iron weapons, and a shield boss are shown. Some of the objects, the beads and garnet disc brooches, were published by William Boys, others by James Douglas (see Bibliography).
