Adatok Eötvös József 1848. évi miniszterségének történetéhez

The examination of József Eötvös’ ministerial actions is hindered by the fact that we have very limited private or personal sources available from him from the period between March and September 1848. As a minister he tended not to handle matters personally. For this reason, his note written in German (which was the easier language for him) to the members of the government in May 1848 is particularly valuable. In our pape we publish this memorandum, and through it we provide a detailed picture of his official trips to Vienna and Innsbruck in the Spring and Summer of 1848, and his role in the Austro-Hungarian negotiations there
