Tutkimusjulkaisujen ohella myös patentit ja standardit vaikuttavat teknologisen kehityksen määrään ja suuntaan. Tässä kirjoituksessa kiinnitetään huomiota tutkimusjulkaisujen, patenttien ja standardien välisiin viittauksiin sekä kirjastojen rooliin tässä yhtälössä.
