Program books of the literary cabaret “Schall und Rauch” at the Großes Schauspielhaus Berlin: - Issue 1, December 1919 - Issue 3, February 1920 - “View into the Future” - Poem by Theobald Tiger in issue 5, April 1920, p. 4 - Issue 3, November 1920 - Issue 4, December 1920 The literary cabaret “Schall und Rauch” was founded in 1901 by Max Reinhardt. However, the “sound and smoke” was only a season as an independent stage. During this time it moved away from the cabaret and approached the theater when Max Reinhardt continued it. However, a new “sound and smoke” was formed in the basement of Max Reinhardt’s Great Schauspielhaus. In this, Tucholsky performed. From 1919 to 1921 the theater published a magazine. Tucholsky was a member of the Cabaret artistic advisory board, published texts until September 1920 and took over the writing for the June issue.
