The monograph outlines the milestones of the biography of Alexander Maximovich Golovkov (1935–2014), Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, director of the Educational and Experimental Soil and Ecological Center of Lomonosov Moscow State University “Chashnikovo” (1973–1982, 1995–2000), related, among other things, to the activities of this Center. The list of the main scientific works of Alexander Maksimovich and a detailed description of the main results of his doctoral dissertation “Scientific foundations of intensification of cultivation and improvement of wheat grain quality in the Non-Chernozem zone”, which was defended in 1989, are given.
