Exploring Choroidal Masses: A Comprehensive Guide
View through CrossRef
Abstract
Choroidal osteoma is a rare benign ossifying tumor that is generally a unilateral condition in the juxtapapillary and macular area. There are multiple choroidal conditions that could remain asymptomatic and identified as an incidental finding during regular checkup, like choroidal osteoma, choroidal hemangioma, choroidal melanoma, choroidal nevus, and choroidal metastasis. We carried out a number of investigations for making a distinguished diagnosis, such as B-scan, optical coherence tomography, FFA/ICGA, and sometimes X-ray/CT-scan other than clinical examination. We hereby report a case of choroidal osteoma in a 48-year-old relatively asymptomatic female and describe an approach to differentiate similar clinical entities of the choroid.
