The diversity of aphids and their parasitoids (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Aphidiinae) in different ecosystems of Northwestern Algeria
View through CrossRef
AbstractThe survey of aphids and their parasitoids in various ecosystems of the Northwestern region of Algeria revealed the presence of 25 species of aphids belonging to subfamily Aphidinae with two tribes and eleven genera. Aphid individuals were collected from 46 host plant species belonging to 22 plant families, Aphis fabae was the most abundantly detected aphid species in this area. Seven primary parasitoid species that have been identified belonged to the family of Braconidae and were divided into three genera (Aphidius, Lysiphlebus and Diaeretiella). The wasp Lysiphlebus testaceipes, was the most frequent species. The parasitoids species with their host aphids and flora in diverse habitats formed 54 Tri-trophic interactions.

Asymptomatic Host Plant Infection by the Widespread Pathogen Botrytis cinerea Alters the Life Histories, Behaviors, and Interactions of an Aphid and Its Natural Enemies
Plant pathogens can profoundly affect host plant quality as perceived by their insect herbivores, with potentially far-reaching implications for the ecology and structure of insect...
