The church of La Magdalena is one of the oldest in the city and is located at the west end of the old town of Jaén. The church, at its origin, was an Andalusian mosque, leaving recognizable remains of it, such as the courtyard surrounded by arches, some of them horseshoe, and a pond in the middle of the courtyard.
