Immunocytoaffinity Assay pf the Philippine Cobra ( Naja philippinensis, Naja samarensis, Naja sumatrana and Ophiophagus Hannah) Venom Using Naja philippinensis Antivenin

Naja samarensis and Naja sumatrana venom. A negative affinity was noted in the Ophiophagus hannah venom. The affinity bands with 25 micrograms exhibited the clearest precipitation lines. These data indicated that the Naja philippinensis Naja samarensis and Naja sumatrana are taxonomically related and that Naja philippinensis monovalent antivenin can be used to neutralize the biotoxic activity of venom from all three species. Moreover, the affinity lines also indicated biotoxicological similarities in the composition, characteristics, and properties of the venom.
