SizaAtlas: Siza Atlas. Ocean Swimming Pool

This SizaAtlas booklet is the result of the research project ‘SizaAtlas. Filling The Gaps for World Heritage', which main objective is to contribute to the nomination of a group of Álvaro Siza's architectural works for the World Heritage List. It makes part of a series of eighteen booklets dedicated to the works inscribed on the World Heritage Tentative List. The booklets are divided in nine sections : the “History and Description” presents the context and delivers architectural description; “Construction” provides a tectonic perspective on the building; “Design Principles” refers to Álvaro Siza’s original design intent; “Attributes” highlights the work’s distinctive features; “State of Conservation” describes the building's current state and interventions; “Digital Documentation” presents photogrammetric surveys, 360° virtual tours, 3D models and BIM didactic details. The booklets document the multi-scalar dimension of Álvaro Siza's work, from plan to detail. Combining traditional and innovative methods of data collection, it offers a virtual and interactive visualisation of the architectural works.
