LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES OF UKRAINE: PROBLEMS OF REFORM

The monograph is dedicated to a comprehensive study of current theoretical and practical
problems of reforming the activities of law enforcement agencies in Ukraine. The monograph
analyzes the historical and legal foundations of the formation and development of law
enforcement agencies in Ukraine. It defines the concept, essence, place, and significance of law
enforcement agencies as an object of administrative and legal regulation in the system of executive
authorities of Ukraine. The authors studied the prerequisites for reforming law enforcement
agencies of Ukraine and determined the features of their functioning and the legal and procedural
principles of their activity. Particular attention is paid to highlighting foreign experience in the
organization and functioning of law enforcement agencies and the possibility of its application in
Ukraine. The monograph will help scientists, educators, students, postgraduate students, and
PhD students of higher legal education institutions, public authorities, local self-government
authorities, and anyone interested in the problems of the functioning of law enforcement
agencies in Ukraine.
