Mihai Cimpoi and the theoretical architecture of eminescology

The study focuses on exploring the conceptual, hermeneutic, and methodological frameworks proposed by Cimpoi, through the analysis of two representative works: "Hyperion și Demiurgul" (2019) and "Mihai Eminescu - Dicționar enciclopedic". Through analytical reading and interpretation, the study maps out and evaluates the conceptual framework that defines Cimpoi"s exegetical approach, including notions such as "Eminescian being," "ontological hermeneutics," "Eminescianism," and "eminescology" as an autonomous discipline, alongside other aspects of Eminescu"s life, work, and personality, as interpreted by the scholar. The final section of the article considers perspectives recently articulated by Mihai Cimpoi regarding unexplored directions in Eminescu research - such as philosophy, axiology, journalism, and unpublished texts. The result is a synthetic vision of Mihai Cimpoi"s eminescology - open, conceptually grounded, and endowed with dynamic hermeneutic potential.
