THE INTERIOR DESIGN OF THE NAIRI CINEMA

The purpose of this article is to analyze and present the interior design of the Nairi cinema, a historical spectacular building type of importance for different periods and times. The article also presents the history of the creation of the "Nairi" cinema and the details of the interior of the first building. The task of the work is to describe and analyze the features of the interior design of the cinema, regarding the layout, style, zoning, inventive solutions and environmental problems. The research was done with the use of descriptive and analytical methods. As a result of the study, it can be stated that the Nairi cinema, in addition to being a culturally significant center, is of great interest as a historical building of a spectacular type, especially in the sense that it has not lost its face and significance over time. Apart from some changes, the cinema hall has been partially preserved, with a stage, which is a rarity for Yerevan, the style and decoration of which are discussed separately in the article. Also, as part of the study, it became possible to study the oval foyer of the cinema, which was closed to the audience for a long time, and its stylistic solutions can be considered a vivid example of national neoclassicism.
