AbstractThe postscript has been added in order to discuss and comment on recent literature about Adam Smith's classical training and influences. It starts from the first publication of the book in Italian (1984) and deals with all the subsequent works on the subject, although not in detail—some of the most important works having already been commented extensively in separate publications.
