Abstract
Warren Buffett is reported as having observed that ‘risk comes from not knowing what you are doing’ and he was without doubt correct. Being aware of risk considerations is essential to the process of assessing the risk of ‘what you are doing’. However, it needs to be kept in mind that not all risk is manageable and that any work or process involves the acceptance of some risk.
