On December 12, 2025, Dmitry Eduardovich Korzhevskii, Head of the Laboratory of Functional Morphology of the Central and Peripheral Nervous System of the Institute of Experimental Medicine, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences, turns sixty years old. The article briefly describes the main stages of his biography and scientific life. Dmitry Eduardovich has been associated with the Institute of Experimental Medicine for more than thirty years. The article notes the scope of his scientific activity, his contribution to the development of cell biology, histology and cytology, to the development and improvement of modern morphological research methods, including immunohistochemistry and confocal microscopy. Dmitry Eduardovich has been a member of the editorial board of the journal "Morphology" for many years and constantly reviews articles published in the journal.
