A catrene of the Chinese poet Wang Changling. While playing the guqin (a seven-string instrument), a nobleman from China notices how beautiful the night is and asks the maid to pick up the blinds. The lyrics are reproduced in the cartridge of the work: “The night is quiet and in the west palace there are a hundred fragrant flowers/regretting the passage of spring, she commands to raise the blinds/with the guqin in the lap concerns the tree month (s) seem unopened in the light of the moon.”
