Economic cooperation between Kon Tum Province (Vietnam) and Attapeu Province (Lao) from 1991 to 2017

In 1991, Kon Tum province was separated and re-established from Gia Lai - Kon Tum province. Based on the previous close relationship between Gia Lai - Kon Tum province and Attapeu province, Kon Tum and Attapeu provinces continue to promote comprehensive cooperation in all fields, in which economy is considered as one of the key areas of cooperation. The article focuses on presenting and clarifying the results of economic cooperation between Kon Tum and Attapeu (1991-2017) in the following aspects: trade, investment, agriculture - forestry, transportation, tourism. Research results contribute to draw some relevant comments and evaluations (regarding results, limitations, problems that need to be solved…).
